An Offline App for Drivers That Never Loses a Job
An offline app for drivers is essential when collections happen in basements, rural yards and industrial estates with no signal. Our apps save every collection, photo and signature on the phone and sync automatically the moment connection returns, so nothing is lost and your Defra deadlines stay safe.
Why You Need an Offline App for Drivers
Waste collections happen in some of the worst places for mobile signal: basement car parks, industrial estates, rural farms, metal-clad buildings and the back of shopping centres. If your driver app needs a connection to save a job, drivers end up waiting, trying again or writing things on paper to type in later.
An offline app for drivers keeps working no matter what. The driver completes the job, takes photos, captures the signature and moves on. The app takes care of the rest.
How Offline Saving Works
When the driver saves a collection, the app stores it on the phone straight away. Weights, notes, photos and signatures are all held in a secure local queue. The driver sees the job as complete and can carry on to the next stop, even if there's been no signal for hours.
Route details, customer information and site notes are also stored on the phone when the route is opened, so the driver can still see where they're going and what to collect.
Automatic Sync When Signal Returns
As soon as the phone gets signal, the queue sends everything to the office automatically, in the right order. There's nothing for the driver to remember or press. The office sees the jobs appear as they sync, and digital waste tracking records are drafted as normal, well inside the 2 working day deadline.
Nothing Lost, Nothing Duplicated
Each job saved offline carries a unique reference, so if the sync is interrupted and tries again, the office never ends up with duplicate collections or duplicate waste transfer notes. Photos and signatures are kept until the server confirms they've arrived safely.
